The brightness of a scanned photograph is best changed either on the scanner or in the image editor after scanning. however if the brightness of an existing design needs to be changed, this command will do it.
Each manufacturers thread colour in the current palette is increased or descreased in brighness as required and then re-matched to the nearest available thread colour. the result is a design with the required brightness change that still relates to available thread colours.
