What kind of paper to print pattern?

Postby Angie » Wed Jan 18, 2017 4:35 pm

I would like to know if anyone has a favorite paper they use for printing the patterns? I like how the pattern looks on glossy paper, but I'm thinking a semi gloss or luster would be better (less reflective). There are a lot of papers out there with different thicknesses, so I'm curious what you all use. Thank you!

I haven't been using any special paper, just standard 20 lb. weight, 92 brightness letter size paper.

We just chose normal A4 80gsm white photocopy/inkjet/laser paper.
Don't forget your customer may want to mark the chart so it needs to be something that will take a pen/pencil/highlighter etc.

When I was operating a photo to cross stitch business in New Zealand and Australia, I always used standard A4 size photocopier paper. As such, I got outstanding results and customers frequently commented on the quality of their printed patterns. Paper Used: Reflex Ultra White Premium Paper. A4 80 gsm using a Canon Inkjet Printer. This is Australian made paper.
