New versions

Over the last couple of days there have been new updates.

Both Windows and Mac versions have increased the maximum number of colours per range from 1,000 to 1,200. You will need the update if you install any colour range of over 1,000 colours but individual designs using a large colour range will still open on older versions as the designs contain a maximum of 219.

Windows version has update to allow searching colours by any text instead of just by number.

Mac version has many fixes for crashes on Big Sur and now reliably starts every time. The thread lengths can now be accessed from the Info menu like the Windows version. Exported png and tif files now have dimensions so that program like Photoshop can determine the intended print size. The Plus version now allows selecting black or white symbols for each colour in the "change symbols" command. Note you need to turn off the "white symbols on dark colours" option when printing or exporting if you use this.

A note for Mac users exporting graphics - The preview program supplied by MacOS does not add the physical size information on MacOS Big Sur and may also create images of the wrong dimensions for the paper size chosen. It is thus better to export directly from Cross Stitch Pro when creating graphics files except for pdf. If you need your images to have a physical pixel size (set according to your chosen resolution) then choose png or tif format.
