The current download from the Mac registered users page is 64-bit for compatibility with both the current Catalina and several earlier versions. However Apple have now changed the security for downloaded applications and until we can set up the scanning of xstitch by Apple, you may have to use the following to run the downloads:

Mojave 10.14.6 will ask if you want to run applications downloaded from the first time you try. You need to respond yes.

Catalina will refuse to install the download and you will need to follow this procedure after the failure:
1) go to OS X system settings
2) click security & privacy
3) On general tab ensure apps from identified developers are allowed. You will need to click unlock in bottom left to allow changes.
4) If there is a message that xstitch.pkg was blocked, click "Open anyway" to start the installation

On a couple of systems with new installations there has been a problem starting the application before the unlock code is installed. If this happens, please email for further instructions.

DP Edit
The text editor used for editing key templates will shortly be replaced by a much better one similar to the Windows version. This will also be used in the Mac publisher version which is currently being worked on.
