Ugh, are these very common thread lines not included in this expensive software?

I already replied to your email but for anyone else watching, we add any thread range for free on request. The best method is to send a real thread shade card for us to measure with the spectrophotometer as then they can be added accurately. However if you just want approximate colours, you can send a link to a web page, a printed card or a pdf or scan of the range.

For solid colours or variagations that are regular and repeatable, measurement generally works well. For over-dyed and random colour variations, the results vary from batch to batch so any colour values can only ever be approximate.

Remember that the software is international so colours common in one country may not be available in another. After registering the software, you get access to program and colour updates. On the colour updates page, there are several versions of DMC colour range with and without colours not available worldwide. There are also versions with common USA and European colour names.

Registration is at https://www.dpsoftware.com/register
