Color range issues

Postby woolymammoth » Mon Feb 24, 2020 6:54 pm

Latest version (Feb. 15) installed.
When adding/removing colors from the palette, the palette editor displays the wrong palette colors for the selected palette. Also, my DMC Anchor combined palette does not appear in the drop down list. When importing a picture, again the selected palette does not use the correct colors and my palette is not included.

In my default design when the cursor is on a color from the DMC Anchor range, the color name shows as DMC Anchor:DMC Anchor:A307 Top instead of simply A307 Topaz.

Under Palette>Change color range, switching from DMC USA to my DMC Anchor causes the program to shut down. Switching to any other range seems okay.

There is a problem with the language translation which is putting the list boxes back to their original text. So everything is OK until a user colour range is added.

I will have an update shortly.

Color ranges and names are now correct in Settings>Edit Master Color Range. However, they are still incorrect under Palette>Add/Remove Colors and my DMC/Anchor range is not listed.

Palette>Change Color Range still causes the program to crash when DMC Anchor is selected.

On importing a picture the color range selection works with all ranges I have tried, including my combined range.

In the color range editor, after Range>Export RGB, then attempting to Import RGB, it continues report "Could not save file because it is read only." This message appears whether the color range used is my user range or one of the built in ranges.

I have a fix for the add/remove colours but I am not having any problems with your colour range. Have you made changes since you sent it to me ? How many colours are in it now ?

If you locate the user colour range in Mac Finder, right mouse click and select "Get info" does it say you can read and write or is it locked or marked read only ?

Location of user files can be found by selecting "show my folder locations" from the Help menu of the program.

I have not made any changes to my color range since adding the new DMC colors, so it is the same as when I sent it to you.

Under Get Info it lists the file as not locked and read and write for me. It is read only for "staff" and "everyone."

Another color range problem:
When in the master color range editor and selecting colors by clicking on a color patch, more often than not the color that displays at the bottom of the window is not the color selected. This occurs with every color range I have tried.

The problem with the colour selection display is fixed. Can you try the latest version and if your colour range is still a problem, please email me the current file as the one I have is working.

Add/Remove Colors ranges works and my DMC/Anchor range is included.

Master color range editor color selection is working correctly.

Palette>Change Color Range still crashes the program when selecting DMC Anchor.

Import RBG into the color range editor still reports the file as read only and won't save whether it is my range or a built in range.

I'll email you the DMC Anchor rng file.

Latest update should have fixed this problem.

It was caused by the maximum number of colour entries being less in the palette change colour range than in the rest of the program.

The program now supports up to 1000 colours in any one colour range. If anyone needs more, it could be increased.
