where to upload DPS new updates to the programme? ATX?

Postby maggi23 » Thu May 03, 2018 12:48 pm

Hello,
I purchased my platinum version of DPS cross stitch program a while ago now.
Due to personal reasons I havent really looked at it till now.
I see on the 'help' drop-down list that I should have looked online for new updates.
Online I chose my platinum version and clicked program updates from your downloads on DPS website.
Back on my own pc I find I dont know where to upload the latest update to?
The upload box shows to save to a suggested file called 'ATX' ?
My platinum version of the DPS program doesnt seem to have an 'ATX' file ?
If I do a 'search for files' on DPS no file 'ATX' found?
Can you tell me if your new program updates should be saved in the file called 'ATX' please?
I dont want to do the wrong thing that might stop my main program working.
Many thanks!

Sorry for the delay in approving your post.

I am not sure where you are getting ATX from as all our updates are in .exe format and you run the downloaded file to install the update.

The easiest way to update is to go to the Help menu, free updates and select "Check for program updates". You will be prompted for your registration ID and password the first time. When an update is found, you just click the button to accept it. The update file is downloaded, the program terminates and the installation starts. When its complete, just restart the program and you are running the updated version.
