DP Software telephone numbers

01454 612598 - A standard rate telephone number that rings the main company telephone. If not answered, this number will just continue to ring.

0845 345 2420 - This number is what used to be called a local call rate but now the rules have changed and it often costs extra to call. Costs from landlines vary from about 1p to 10p per minute with the companies we checked and is not included in most package deals except BT. From mobiles between 20p and 40p. Do check with your service provider.

The 0845 number will first ring the standard company telephone and then if not answered will divert to a mobile phone. The extra cost of the mobile call is paid by DP Software.

Due to the cost of the 0845 it is recommended only if you cannot get through on the 01454 number.

1 (940) 560-7245 - Our USA cell phone number. Since we are in the UK, this should only be called mornings US time (9am-10pm UK time). It costs the same to call as if it were a cell phone in the USA in the 940 area code. DP Software pays the additional charges to receive calls in the UK.

07924 743221 - If for some reason you want to call our US cell phone from outside the USA, you can use this UK (isle of mann) number. It may be cheaper if the 01454 number is not being answered rather than calling 0845 but do check if 07924 is included in your calling plan.

Fax

If you send a fax, it is a good idea to call and let us know since it is now mainly junk that comes through and its not checked very often.

01454 853566 - Standard UK rate fax number

0845 345 2421 - Same fax machine but mostly costs more to call so little point using it.

Calling UK numbers from overseas

Exact numbers vary from country to country but you should dial your international call prefix followed by country code 44 then the UK number without the first 0.

Example from USA call our main number using 011 44 1454 612598

In response to the BBC Watchdog TV program on telephone numbers, we would like to state that we have never received any income from 0845 numbers and that at the time we purchased our 0845 number, it was cheaper to call from most UK numbers. To generate revenue from these types of numbers requires a huge number of calls which is unlikely unless the company installs a queue system and has several calls on hold at one time. We do not have the ability to queue calls and far too low call volume to generate revenue. We think telephone companies should be forced to charge no more for 0845 calls than normal numbers which is the original deal we signed up for in purchasing the number.

We are currently looking at alternatives such as 03 numbers that always cost the same as standard numbers but can be kept even if the company moves region, or 0800 numbers which are free to call from landlines (but not from mobiles). The problem is that we have no control if the rules are changed again so could end up in the same position in a few years time.
